Topic of the day

Does hands-on experimentation help us understand science better than reading about it?

Some people find practical experiments make scientific concepts clearer, while others prefer learning through books and articles. Which approach do you think leads to deeper understanding, and why? Have you had experiences where trying something yourself changed your perspective?

I reckon when you actually do an experiment yourself, things tend to stick in your mind way better. Watching a reaction or building something makes the whole concept feel real, compared to just reading descriptions in a book.
